Taking Down Cloud Threats for the Win

Lately, we’ve been making a point to highlight how the cloud has quickly changed everything we know about security. Something that has undoubtedly become the case over this past year with the uptick in remote work and the need for connection and productivity from afar. In fact, if you’d like to dive into that dialog, we recently released our Spotlight Report—Vision and Visibility: Top 10 Threat Detections Across Microsoft Azure AD and Office 365 that covers the top cloud threats Vectra customers are seeing and shows how using legacy security tools to protect assets in the cloud is simply useless. And while our customers certainly understand this, you can’t help but wonder if that’s the case elsewhere when it seems all too often that headlines continue to roll in with coverage of devastating cyberattacks targeting the cloud.

Well, it just so happens that folks are starting to take notice about the importance of cloud security. Shortly following the announcement of our Series F funding round to accelerate our cloud security R&D, we are now even getting awards for it. Yep, you heard that right—we’re honored to have won the Globee 2021 Disruptor Company Award for Security Cloud/SaaS. These prestigious global awards recognize disruptive technologies and innovative solutions that are transforming consumer experiences everywhere.

“Disruptive technologies and solutions are transforming consumer experiences everywhere while consumer and end-user needs are continuously evolving,” said San Madan, co-President of Globee Awards. “Legacy systems are not always fast enough to accept and respond to such needs.”

The fact that legacy systems aren’t prepared to protect the cloud is one of the many reasons Vectra continues to make considerable investments in R&D—to ensure that we innovate faster than attackers. As a result, we have recently delivered two cloud solutions: first, Detect for Office 365 and Detect for Azure AD helps customers see and stop threats across any software-as-a-service (SaaS) and productivity application; second, our newest solution, Detect for AWS, which will change the game on how to see and stop threats targeting infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). Our impact is where it matters most—ransomware, supply chain attacks, intellectual property theft and other chaos-creating attacks.

It’s always gratifying to be recognized as a disruptor and industry leader, and we certainly appreciate being named the Cloud Security/SaaS Disruptor Company of the Year. Disruptors are highly persistent, mostly beginning from scratch without the constraints of traditionally accepted processes or business models. They use technology and modern tools to achieve end results. Disruptors do things differently and are not hindered by existing ways of industry stalwarts—they are ready to take on enormous challenges and find solutions for customers’ biggest pain points. If you’d like to know more about protecting your cloud instances and workloads, head over to our Detect for AWS and Detect for Office 365 pages.

Behind this distinguished success is our product innovations and relentless drive to stay customer focused. We believe this recognition from Globee Awards further validates our commitment to our customers, and our vision has always been to make the world a safer and fairer place.
