Vectra Cognito® AI platform selected to power new SecureDetect Network managed detection and response services

Münich, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland, January 30th 2019.

SecureLink today announces the immediate launch of its SecureDetect Network service. This cutting-edge Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capability is ideal for organizations requiring real-time detection and response to hidden cyberattacks and AI-assisted threat hunting. SecureLink will leverage the Cognito AI platform from Vectra to power this new service.

“Our research shows an increase in adversaries hiding in legitimate business processes,” explained Thomas Fetten, SecureLink chief executive officer. “These tactics are used, for example, in advanced extortion schemes and espionage. The impact of these attacks is often higher than traditional ones. That’s why our customers have a growing appetite to weed out these ‘unknown unknowns,’ and to respond quickly and effectively. This has driven the development of SecureDetect Network. We’re tremendously excited to partner with Vectra in solving some of the connected world’s most pressing issues.”

SecureDetect expands SecureLink’s existing MDR services, which have already gained recognition in Gartner’s Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services*. Gartner forecasted that “15% of enterprises will consume MDR services by 2020.”

AI-powered network detection and response doesn’t rely on signatures or require endpoint client software, and is non-disruptive to deploy. This makes it ideally suited for managed service deployments like SecureDetect. After extensive competitive testing, SecureLink selected the Vectra Cognito AI platform on which to build its new service.

“Perimeter defences alone cannot stop cyberattackers from getting inside an organisation’s network,” said Vectra CEO Hitesh Sheth. “That’s why enterprises are now investing in AI-driven threat detection and response services. We’re thrilled to partner with SecureLink with our Cognito AI platform to help enterprises detect and respond faster to advanced cyberattacks and reduce their business risk.”

Thomas Fetten adds “these issues require cutting edge technology, combined with the industry’s best, to deliver the service. With the SecureDetect Network, powered by Vectra AI, organizations propel themselves into the next security maturity level.”
