OUR STORY

We saw the shift early…

Long before AI became the driving force for transformation, we saw that infrastructure was changing: organizations were becoming more distributed, identities more central, and cloud was reshaping infrastructure.

Attackers were also becoming faster, more adaptive, and harder to detect with static rules alone.

…so we took a different approach.

Our early focus on behavioral AI detection was rooted in a simple belief:

‍Network data is the source of truth.

‍It reflects how systems actually behave, how identities interact, and how attackers move and operate.

This belief shaped how we built Vectra AI: with AI/ML at the core of the platform to understand real attacker behavior in real time across on-premises, multi-cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.

A decade of building AI for real-world attacks

Since our founding in 2011, our vision has been simple: make the world a safer and fairer place with AI. Our story is one of continuous evolution of seeing what’s next and staying one step ahead.

We laid the foundation with an early focus on machine learning for cyberattack detection and behavioral analysis over signatures.

2014-2019

We expanded network-based behavioral detection and scaled our models to identify real attack behaviors across the kill chain, while reducing noise through automated prioritization.

2020-2023

As cloud, identity, and hybrid work reshaped the enterprise, we expanded visibility and attack correlation across these environments and evolved the platform beyond detection alone.

2024-today

We’ve continued to deepen signal clarity, broaden visibility across data sources, and introduce AI-assisted and agentic AI workflow automation to help defenders move faster and act with more confidence.
